The group meets on the first Monday of each month in the afternoon at 2:00pm (for 2 hours) for friendly games of Mahjong.

Chandler Court very generously donates the room and provides wonderful refreshments (tea/coffee, cake, biscuits) at half time.

Mahjong is an ancient Chinese game for 4 players played with a set of 144 tiles. Each player tries to complete a set of 14 tiles according to rules similar to Rummy but which offer more scope for strategy. We currently have 8 members of varying ability so operate 2 games but have room for further games if needed.

Never played? Try something new in a relaxed and friendly way. Beginners are welcome and will be taught how to play the game.
